SCS library gets ‘facelift’

To provide the Claireans a more conducive reading hub, the Administration decided to give the school library a ‘facelift’. The existing tables and chairs were replaced with new furniture set to let the students enjoy their handpicked reading materials without being disturbed. They added a utility cabinet outside where the students can leave their bags and other personal belongings. They also acquired new titles of reference books, interest books, and children’s literature books. To keep the students abreast with the current events, the school renewed its subscriptions to the two leading broadsheets – The Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Philippine Star.

According to Mr. Daniel C. Fajilan, the school librarian, SCS plans to acquire more titles and board games before this school year ends. Sir Dan said that this effort of renovating the school library only shows that St. Claire School values the immense contribution of reading in the development of the students’ study habits.
