Tired
of the usual pen and paper learning route, Claireans challenged the Alternative
Classroom Learning Experience through Paglalakbay 2015 held on the first week
of November 2015.
For Preschool to Grade 3 students,
they observed the basics of baking at the Goldilocks Cake Plant; experienced
rainforest adventure at the RAVE through the Butterfly House, Mini Train, Mini
Zoo; and had an interaction with the DreamWorks Animation Characters at the
City of Dreams. Play and learn at state-of-the-art Dream Studio, Dream Tales
Library, Science Exhibits, and Dream Theater.
For the students from Grades 4 to 6, they learned more about the
Philippine fauna through the Butterfly House, Mini Train, and Mini Zoo at the
Rainforest Adventure, Pasig City; looked at how can they help conserve the
irreplaceable aquatic resources at the Las Farolas, Pasig City; and enjoyed the
company of their classmates at the Club Manila East, Taytay, Rizal.
For the junior high school students,
they learned the history, lives, and contributions of the Chinese in the
Philippines at Bahay Tsinoy, Manila; took a closer look at the traditional arts that
preserve Filipino artistic traditions, national culture, and Filipino artistry
at the CCP Museum; followed the various episodes of the Army's evolution through
visual arts subjecting the revolutionary heroes, medal for the AFP, and weapons
of the army at the AFP Museum; and had a
panoramic view of the ethnographic,
anthropological, archaeological visual
artistry of the Philippines at the National Museum.
The ACLE 2015 proved that learning
is not only confined into the halls and walls of every classroom.
