Otamias, Mendoza crowned Campus Queen & Heartthrob 2015

The SCS Multi-Purpose Gym turned into a glamorous event place with dazzling candidates vied for the titles Campus Queen & Heartthrob 2015. Hosted by the Office of the Student Activities and MAPEH Department, the 17 candidates competed in the different categories such as Casual Wear, Sports Wear, Festival Attire, Formal Wear, Evening Gown, and the Question & Answer Portion.

Before the night of February 22, 2015 came to a close, Johann Norman E. Mendoza and Ma. Zyla O. Otamias, both from Grade 6 class, were crowned Campus Queen & Heartthrob 2015. Besides the coveted crowns, Mendoza brough home Best in Casual Wear, Best in Formal Wear, and Most Photogenic Awards. While Otamias bagged Best in Casual Wear, Best in Sports Wear, and Best in Evening Gown Awards.

Mga Tinig ng Pasko Year 2 caps 2014

For the second year, Claireans staged a two-hour concert that benefited the utility and maintenance personnel on December 20 last year at the SCS Multi-Purpose Gym.Tagged as Mga Tinig ng Pasko, the musical extravagance featured songs from the 80's, timeless musicales, contemporary genres, classic piano pieces, and today's upbeat renditions. It also highlighted the dance prowess of the SCS students and their gift in playing musical instruments. The said benefit concert was spearheaded by the MAPEH Department with the baton of Maestro Ricky Besana.

SCS hits the road for Educational Trip 2014

     Part of St. Claire School’s credo is to provide alternative learning experiences that help students develop their interpersonal intelligences. This is the core objective of the annual educational trip which allows the students  to drop their  pens  and papers for  a short  while and enjoy  the company of their schoolmates.

    This year, the students from Preschool to Grade School toured around Clark Field, Pampanga. They went up close with life-size  animal toys from the different continents at  Hanza International  Toy Factory, observed the  production  of ice-cream at Creamline  Factory, relived the ancient times at Dinosaur  Island, followed  the trails of our rich culture at Nayong  Pilipino, and dived into the Olympic-size pools of Fontana Water Park.

  While the high school students peeped at the busy schedule of journalists and broadcasters as they walked through ABS-CBN , WRR, and the Manila Times. They also strengthen the Clairean spirit  through  team building activities at Bluroze Farm Parks, Wildlife , Lipa , Batangas.

   The two-day road adventure let the Claireans gain  insights which would definitely help them become  well-rounded individuals.

Claireans celebrate Humanities Festivals

     For the very first time, the Claireans celebrate the gift of Humanities  in October last year by putting on display the best artworks of the students from Grade 4 to Fourth Year Level. The week-long art  extravaganza was highlighted by a fashion show that showcased the different recycled apparels made by the high school students. Kirk Patrick Del Prado and Mariel Tayamora both from Grade 5  were named Best Male and Female Models respectively, while the designs of Nicole Joson from Grade 8 class emerged the Best Design.

     The Humanities Festival was just one of the many in-campus activities that capped   the first semester of the Academic Year 2014-2015.The Claireans also had motorcade in celebration of United Nations, Living Rosary in observance  of the Rosary Month, and enjoyed the early Halloween Treats.

St. Claire School to host QCCA Season 8

           

For this season, St. Claire School will be the home of Quezon City Athletic Association (QCAA). This yearly gathering of the best of the best sports sports enthusiast from all over Quezon City aims to involve the students in the different sports events as they commit themselves into sportsmanship and good camaraderie.

Being the host school, SCS expects to house spectators from the different participating schools throughout the league which will run from Sept. 6 - Oct. 25, 2014.

Ms. Jen Fegarido, the Admin Head, disclosed that the school has been preparing for this event since last year. According to her, hosting QCAA is such an honor considering the reputation of the participating schools which are as follow:

Esguerra, Otamias named Lakan at Lakambini 2014

The timid James A. Esguerra from Grade 8 class and the lovely Ma. Zyla O. Otamias from Grade 6 class were adjudged Lakan at Lakambini 2014 respectively during the culminating activity of the celebration of Buwan ng Wika on August 29, 2014 at the SCS Multi-Purpose Gym.

Esguerra who also bagged the Best in Barong Tagalog Award emerged victorious among seven candidates, while Otamias also brought home Best in Talent, Best in Filipiniana, and Most Photogenic Awards.

Prior to the pageant, different contests like coloring, comic strip making, slogan writing, poster making and Philippine food festival were held. This month-long celebration hosted by the Filipino and Social Science Departments has the theme, Filipino: Wika ng Pagkakaisa. 

Grades 1, 5, 8 rule Family Day 2014

          Pupils/students from Grades 1, 5, and 8 classes ruled the 2014 Family Day held at the SCS Multi-Purpose Gym on the last Saturday of July, 2014. The specified classes overwhelmed their competitors in the different games as well as in the dance competition.

           

            With the theme SCS: My FAMILY, My Home, students from the preschool department to high school showcased their dance prowess and participated in the different fun games to the delight of their family members. This annual school-based activity aims to teach the students the sanctity of family ties as part of our Filipinism.
